How did you start the first time in the import export business?
In 1993, after 3 years of Brazilian opens to external market in electronics, me and 2 friends went to visit shows in Taiwan and Honk Kong. Yes, I have visiting these wonderful Asian countries since 17 years ago. During these years, I already spent more than 6 months in work on Asian territories.
To improve my general knowledge, in 1999 I have done my post degree in Business Administration (PUC/RS), in International Business. After this, I visited New York and Boston on about one month.
Since 1994, I have dealt a lot of good business in importing thru the world, America, Europe and Asia too. After understanding the framework of international deals, things got faster. There is a lot of local cultures that must be considered in international dealings. This is my main tip.

As an executive I headed negotiations involving the biggest contracts made by led Brazilian company in Latin America in Buses field (Volve - Transantiago); led a winning negotiation with Infraero-Brazilian Airport Government Controller in 4 plants; led a winning negotiation with Banco Itaú Argentina (Giant Clock) and RBS (Media Brazil, Globo subsidiary) for Sport Club Internacional (Soccer Billboard).
I was also responsible for overseas business unit in the companies, in Asian territories. Approached European players of this sector for selling/agency solutions at Europe; head of Cebit missions.
