How did you start the first time in the import export business?
I got into the export business since 2000, when I had no idea at all. For my good English in college, I was invited to join one company called Midea, which has grown into a big company now. I was employed by its export department working as technical support engineers. I felt fantastic wage difference between the engineers and the export sales; I felt so unfair and thought I should go into this business as well.
Then I left in 2001, and joined in a US based trading company in SZ as a junior engineer. That is the right way, proved later, after 5 years of effort; I become the sourcing manager and ADM manager in 2007. Then I left and built a factory withy my college classmates working in rotomolding industry to offer high quality service only, including high quality rotomolded products manufacturing and supply, rotomolding mold and machine design and improvement etc. 90% of our sales are from overseas, so still in export.
About Your Business:
Guangzhou Xiesu locates in Baiyun District, Guangzhou, China, just 20~30 minutes from the New Baiyun Airport, and 5 minutes from Jiahe subway station.
The company is making lamps, flower pot light, stools, tables, chairs for furniture companies such as Offi and Fatboy. Also making fuel tanks for motorcycle companies. Products vary so much, but this is the advantage of rotomolding as long as the product is hollow and complicated shapes which could be formed by the other processes.
