How did you start the first time in the import export business?

I first came to China in 2009 to study mandarin at Fudan University, later that year I met my future partner Liu Wei. China had interested me for some time and in my native Sweden I used to manage a part time business importing and dropshipping wristwatches from Guangzhou and Hong Kong.

In 2010 we incorporated ScandinAsian Enterprise in Shanghai. This was during the “2nd boom” cycle when plenty of exporting and sourcing companies set up in China.





What made us different is that we’ve been focused on low MOQ’s which attracts small businesses and online traders. Since then we’ve kept our focus on reaching deeper into this huge market of small enterprises instead of trying to reach out to larger companies.

For us this has been a winning strategy and I believe that we’ll see the competition in our niche increase.

About Your Business:

ScandinAsian Enterprise started out with exporting consumer products such as wrist watches, textiles and accessories along with industrial products such as PVC plastics, tarpaulins and rope.

These two fields are still important pillars of our business, but we are moving more and more towards becoming a service oriented company which also offers Membership programs, consulting, supplier audits, fraud prevention, negotiation and sourcing.
