How did you start the first time in the import export business?
Hello everyone! It's my honor to share my experience with you here. As a major of business English, I chose to do foreign business in a factory after graduating. The first thing is to know your products. After one month, I began my real job to connect with foreign customers. While I am eager to finish an order to show my ability (as a foreign trader, patience is a must) instead I got a lessons in failure!
Though it was not very serious it was my fault. One customer wanted a sample of a product and promised to pay for the sample (the sample is a little expensive, so we need payment to receive them). Then I arranged for the sample to be sent to him and did send it before receiving the payment for it. I took it for granted that he would not cheat me. Unfortunately, I was cheated. So I have to say, as a new person in the business, I was too naive. I am sharing with you my error hoping that new exporters like me learn to be patient. Believe in others but do not be blind.
